What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Specialist position at Mountain Alarm Fire & Security?
Mountain Alarm, a Pye-Barker Fire & Safety company, is hiring a Licensing Specialist in our Corporate Alarm Division branch in Ogden, Utah.
Position Summary: Researches, maintains records, compiles information, and submits the necessary forms for branches permits and licensing. Manages and process specific permits and renewals. Works cooperatively with corporate licensing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process all customer permits as needed
- Process permits with local counties, cities and states
- Process all license renewals
- Works directly with employees, operations, sales, corporate licensing, and central station to obtain permits, licenses, and other branch specific requirements
- Research requirements for company licenses
- Submits all company license paperwork for corporate licensing to completion
- Professionally communicates with representatives from counties, cities and states via email and phone regarding permits, licenses, and other branch specific licenses, research and processing
- Aid licensing efforts for employees as required by state
- Timely follow-up throughout all stages of permitting and licensing
- Communicates any permitting issues interfering with activation of accounts directly to operations
- Utilizes a variety of industry specific software
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 6 months related experience in a data entry environment required
- Ability to work in highly structured setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Goal oriented professional with strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient data entry and data tracking
- Must read and speak English
