Mountain Alarm, a Pye-Barker company, is hiring a Payroll Specialist to support the Alarm Division Corporate Human Resources Department with processing payroll.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely processing of payroll. The Payroll Specialist will ensure pay data integrity, perform administrative tasks and provide end-to end solutions for payroll-related questions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Payroll processing for multiple-site payroll on a weekly basis
- Responsible for data entry into the payroll system including pay changes, transfers, and terminations
- Make necessary payroll entries or upload payroll data to include adjustments, incentives, additional hours, commissions, bonuses, and expense reimbursements
- Review electronic timesheets for management authorization and or missed time sheet entries
- Run payroll reports as needed and distribute payroll registers
- Prepare off-cycle payrolls and manual check calculations
- Set up garnishments and child support orders within payroll system
- Assist Accounts Payable to distribute ACH and or paper checks to employees as needed
- Process voids and stop-payments
- Exposure to various HR / Payroll Projects
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience processing payroll independently highly desired
- Previous experience working within an HR environment preferred
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and or ability to learn and adapt
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Solid working knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
- Must speak English
