JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Extended Day Worker
REPORTS TO: Extended Day Program Site Supervisor/Manager
JOB GOAL: To assist school administrators with the supervision of children in the Extended Day
Program.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- Ability to speak clearly and articulately
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary for working with school and community
- Recommended MBHS student, college student or adult with childcare experience
- Must maintain regular attendance
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a positive, safe, and orderly environment for children
- Uses school equipment and facilities responsibly
- Distributes snacks to children
- Maintains positive and respectful communication with school personnel, parents and students
- Utilizes technology where applicable
- Supervises students after school to enhance their educational and social development
- Implements activities assigned by site facilitator and school administration
- Follows Mountain Brook School policies and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned by the school site manager and/or administrators.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 Months – 180 days
