Description
(FT, Year Round, Benefited) The purpose of the facilities maintenance employee is to maintain the facilities, while sustaining a safe work environment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn the skills of the trade, with a basic knowledge in one or more of the following: electrical, plumbing, construction.
Essential Functions:
- Aptitude and skill sets to lead a team.
- Work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Carryout higher level facilities repairs.
- Experience to identify and complete minor repairs independently.
- Identify safety issues and report them to the Facilities Manager.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
- Handing all aspects of trash removal.
- Lodge snow removal.
- Maintain an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest services.
- Be willing to take on reasonable tasks and duties as assigned for the success of companywide operations.
Qualifications
Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current driver’s license.
- Safe driving record.
Competencies Required:
- Prior experience with electrical and plumbing
- One year maintenance experience.
- A basic understanding of construction practices.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to solve problems and take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess internal drive and motivation.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and create a fun, professional work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Must be able to lift arms overhead.
- Position involves bending, twisting, stooping repeatedly throughout the workday. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs without assistance.
- Must be able to walk from building to building.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions.
- The employee occasionally is exposed to wet and/or summer and winter conditions.
- While performing this job, the employee primarily works independently but may also be required to work as part of a crew.
