Description
General Purpose:
The Lift Operator works to ensure that lifts are operated safely and guests are loaded properly onto them.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist and direct guests on and off chairlifts in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, using excellent guest service skills.
- Check all guests boarding the lift for a valid ticket or pass using a scanner.
- Maintain the loading/unloading ramps and lift line areas.
- Remove snow from chairs, ramps, and work areas.
- Organize lift lines
- Operate machinery and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist in emergency situations as required, such as lift evacuations,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must know how to operate basic machinery.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Must be able to ski or snowboard safely to and from assigned workstations using company-designated routes (In some instances, employees without fundamental ski or snowboarding ability may be assigned to workstations where such skills are not required).
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays and required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work for an extended period of time in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and/or wind.
- Must be able to work at high altitudes for an extended period of time.
