Job Overview
- We are currently seeking a skilled and results oriented Estimator/Project Manager to be part of our growing team. The Estimator/Project Manager will report to the Senior Estimator and Area Manager and work closely with and support the estimating team. This role will interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located out of our office in Alvarado, Texas.
Duties
- Participates in estimate strategy planning.
- Performs quantity take-offs.
- Provides verification of take-offs by support staff.
- HCSS estimate entry.
- Assists in HCSS database administration.
- Participates in bid review processes.
- Familiarity with subcontractor acquisition, scope verification, and negotiation.
- Provides product research and data input.
- Attends client pre-bid meetings and job showings, visit job sites, and maintains a record of all verbal information disseminated by the client during the pre-bid meeting and job showing.
- Has the ability to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Displays superior written and oral communication skills.
- Employs effective listening skills.
- Develops tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
- Conducts business with 100% integrity and professionalism.
- Occasional travel to job sites for pre-bid conferences required. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of contract terms and specifications.
- Act as Mountain Cascade's representative with owners and owner's engineers at project meetings.
- Ensure timely and appropriate communication of time extensions and delays to the owner in accordance with contract requirements.
- Protect Mountain Cascade's interests, minimize conflicts, and professionally resolve issues.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of the project schedule, key project milestones, and reasons for delays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
