Position: Financial Advisor
Reports to: Director of Investments and Financial Planning

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt – Administration
General Function:
Grow investment revenues and profits in the geographic markets within the assigned region. Help carry out the strategic plan for investments business development, increase referrals from existing clients, bank officers, and others. Interface with clients, prospects, and the community to enhance the Bank’s image and grow market share. Integrate market knowledge, product, and risk assessment expertise to upgrade services to existing clients and convert prospects into long-term, profitable clients.
Essential Functions:
- Investment Sales
A. Maintain a current awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular contact with our investment partners and other industry professionals, as well as through personal research; communicate issues to appropriate parties.
B. Seek out prospective new clients, both individual consumer and commercial.
C. Provide exceptional customer service for internal and external customers, both by telephone and in person, providing assistance and/or taking messages as necessary. Be friendly, helpful, and professional. Represent the Bank in the best way possible.
A. Meet production goals, considering the most profitable means of income and the goals of the Bank.
B. Consistently improve relationships with internal and external clients to increase customer satisfaction and new business opportunities.
C. Engage in a variety of individual/institutional account investment activities.
D. Develop and maintain visibility in the Investment Management and Planning Communities; Participate in activities that promote the Bank as an active supporter of community goals and interests and provide long-term business opportunities
E. Assist in the development of financial presentations as required.
2. Account Management
A. Manage assigned investment management accounts as appropriate. Serve as the primary relationship contact for clients and strive to offer extraordinary customer service by assisting with a variety of products and services, depending on each individual client situation
B. Ensure that the investment portfolios are in compliance with our client’s investment policy, laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and rulings governing the investment business
C. Assist in the product selection process of investment decisions as directed.
D. Ensure that all accounts are billed in accordance with established fee schedule and collected.
E. Review all correspondence (mail, fax, email, phone, etc.) and route promptly and appropriately by the necessary deadlines.
F. Stay in communication with the Director of Investment and Financial Planning and communicate with him/her regarding accounts, maintenance, issues, service, etc.
G. Keep all files, correspondence, and information neatly organized and up-to-date; follow up on any issues that may arise promptly and keep detailed notes of customer conversations.
3. Compliance
A. Diligently protect confidential information, and assist the Bank in ensuring that all confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately.
B. Maintain an active awareness and understanding of policies, procedures, designated authorities, regulations, and laws, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, etc. Follow these at all times.
C. Communicate openly with supervisors and other management about policies, procedures, work conduct, and job functions. Ask questions to clarify any uncertainty in issues.
D. Address and report suspected violations of policy, procedure, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, and other laws and guidelines, as outlined in the Code of Conduct. Reported information will be kept confidential.
E. Participate in training sessions and policy updates as necessary. Assist with coordination of scheduling as appropriate.

Requirements:Qualification Requirements:
- 3 years of personal trust/investment related experience
- Series 6 or Series 7 plus appropriate state licensing
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of investment and planning administration and investment management policies and procedures
- Tact and pleasantness in dealing with customers and Team Members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
- Computer proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, accounting, finance or related fields
- CPA, CFP, or equivalent designation
- Experience with trust, investment and retirement products, trust instruments, other legal documents and tax returns
- Knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA)
- Employee benefit background in the administrative, operational, and development areas for qualified employee benefit plans.
