Job Details
Mountain Communities Healthcare District is a very small hospital in a very rural town. We have a 4 bed Emergency Room, no ICU, no trauma center. Our Radiology Dept. services our Emergency Room, our 10 bed Medical / Surgical floor and our out patient needs. We only schedule staff on day shift Monday through Friday. However, we need someone that can share on call responsibilities with our other two Radiologic Technologist on evenings and weekends.
Position Responsibilities and Duties : Understands and performs the duties of a Radiologic Technologist, understands the complexities of imaging equipment in all modalities, ability to provide care based on various criteria, knowledge of positioning patients for optimal results, able to perform duties with minimal supervision, verbal and written skills, adaptability to adverse conditions, consistent production of quality images, efficient organization, quick response in emergencies, supply stocking, self-reliance, change priorities at short notice, documentation maintenance, participating in compliance, assisting with phones and scheduling, safe working conditions, equipment monitoring, care provision relevant to the age of the patient, evaluating behavior and motor skills, adjusting contrast media, using shielding, flexible to staffing needs, effective communication, responsible for sharing call and work schedule, CQI monitoring participation, consistently works within scope of practice.
Job Requirements
Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program with Associate of Science Degree
Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist Licensure (CRT)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) preferred
Two years experience in an Acute Care setting is preferred
Experience in at least two modalities
Experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may be substituted for Acute Care experience
Schedule Information
Staff scheduled on day shift Monday through Friday
Participates in on call responsibilities with other two Radiologic Technologist on evenings and weekends
