Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient charts for accuracy.
- Ensure all codes are current and active.
- Handle co-pays, balance, and charge posting.
- Collaborate with providers and billing staff.
- Stay updated on Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations.
- Educate and train staff on coding guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent; bachelor's preferred.
- Medical Coding Certificate; RHIT or CPH by AAPC or AHIMA License.
- 2 years of medical coding experience.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR software.
- Excellent communication skills.
