What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Associate (MHA)-School based position at Mountain Comprehensive Care Center?
Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is hiring for a Mental Health Associate to serve the Todd County School District.
PURPOSE: To provide therapeutic interventions, referral and assessment services to clients/children in a school based setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Will consider LPCA, CSW, or Bachelor degree in a Human Service field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline (i.e: psychology, social work, counseling) from an accredited college/university and experience working with the targeted population. Minimum of Bachelor degree in Human Services field required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: One year experience with appropriate evidence-based practices preferred. Good verbal and written skills; creativity; patience and flexibility. Must pass a background check and have a valid KY driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILIITES:
- Provide direct patient care to students, ensuring their mental health needs are met in a school setting.
- Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to support students with behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop individualized support plans for children with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Participate in crisis intervention as needed and contribute to data collection for ongoing program evaluation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.79 - $22.00 per hour
