What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN)-Womens Residential Substance Abuse position at Mountain Comprehensive Care Center?
Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is hiring for a Registered Nurse to serve the Paducah Women's Residential Substance Abuse facility in Paducah, KY.
PURPOSE: Responsible for providing direct care services for the residents of the substance abuse facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited college or university, must have a current, valid RN license in the state of Kentucky and current CPR certification. Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license, must pass background check.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted; must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws guidelines, regulations that pertain to quality patient care; must have strong clinical skills, and must have experience working with and sensitivity to the homeless/low income population and persons with behavioral health care disorders and knowledge of the Appalachian culture.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive patient care for women in a residential substance abuse setting, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering IVs and medications as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document patient progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients on health management and recovery strategies while ensuring compliance with CPR and nursing standards.
