Oiler

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Oiler to join our team at Mountain Construction Company , a leading heavy highway construction company. As an Oiler, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction equipment operates smoothly and efficiently by performing lubrication and maintenance tasks. This is a vital role to help maintain the high standards of performance and safety on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine oiling, greasing, and lubrication of heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, graders, and loaders.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any potential malfunctions or needed repairs to supervisors.
• Ensure that oil levels and fluid reservoirs are filled, as well as maintain logs of daily maintenance.
• Work closely with mechanics to troubleshoot and address mechanical issues as needed.
• Assist with fueling and general upkeep of machinery and equipment.
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies while on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in other general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor or crew leader.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in heavy equipment maintenance or lubrication preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy construction machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work long hours in outdoor, often physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license (Class A or B preferred).
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and rough terrain.
• Must be able to climb into and out of heavy equipment and machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.08 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
