Activity Director

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a creative, compassionate, and organized Activities Director to lead life-enrichment programming for our residents. This role is vital to fostering community, emotional well-being, and joy in everyday life.
Responsibilities:
Design and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activities (games, music, art, movement, events, etc.)
Adapt activities to meet physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure accessibility and safety
Engage residents in meaningful ways to reduce isolation and support mental wellness
Maintain documentation and compliance with state/federal guidelines
Supervise volunteers and activity aides
Qualifications:
Experience in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field
Previous work in long-term care or with older adults preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Creative, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach
Certification as Activity Director (NCCAP or similar) preferred—or willingness to obtain
