Activity Director

Location: Cincinnati, OH, 45211

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a creative, compassionate, and organized Activities Director to lead life-enrichment programming for our residents. This role is vital to fostering community, emotional well-being, and joy in everyday life.

Responsibilities:

• Design and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activities (games, music, art, movement, events, etc.)

• Adapt activities to meet physical, cognitive, and emotional needs

• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure accessibility and safety

• Engage residents in meaningful ways to reduce isolation and support mental wellness

• Maintain documentation and compliance with state/federal guidelines

• Supervise volunteers and activity aides

Qualifications:

• Experience in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field

• Previous work in long-term care or with older adults preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Creative, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach

• Certification as Activity Director (NCCAP or similar) preferred—or willingness to obtain
