Overview
We are seeking an energetic and conscientious Kitchen Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As the Kitchen Lead, you will be handling all things kitchen, expediting orders, managing product, doing inventory, ensuring food quality, keeping a clean area and maintaining a high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will need to work well under the pressure of a busy kitchen. You will be part of the team and you will be trained in the POS system and espresso drink preparation, which duties you probably will have to perform at times during the day. The pay rate is a base of $13.00/hr and with tips it averages 17.00 to $21.00/hr. You will be opening the shop at 6:00 am and 7:00 am, weekdays/weekends, so you will need to be reliable and a morning person.
Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow.
- Train and mentor team members on food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet restaurant standards.
- Assist in the preparation of meals, including cooking, plating, and serving as required.
- Address any customer concerns or feedback promptly to enhance the dining experience.
Skills
