We are opening a new location in East Colorado Springs- Mountain Dogs Basecamp- on May 1. We are seeking a couple of passionate and skilled Pet Groomers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while maintaining their health and well-being. We expect our employees to follow the strictist protocols for safety and cleanliness. This role requires strong customer service skills, as you will interact with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming options, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service to build strong relationships with clients and their pets.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, trends, and products in the industry.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field such as veterinary technician or animal handling is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including dog training techniques and animal behavior.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Certification in pet grooming or related qualifications is a plus but not mandatory.
