Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient service and assessment, with a focus on pediatrics. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the proper functioning of medical instruments and equipment, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Duties

  • Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of hearing instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Active North Carolina Board Certification.
  • Assist in the assessment of patients by preparing and operating diagnostic equipment.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to understand specific instrument needs for various procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in all aspects of instrument handling.
  • Document all maintenance activities and patient assessments accurately for record-keeping purposes.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with various hearing instruments and their applications is an advantage.
