What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant- In Home & FSS position at MOUNTAIN EMPIRE OLDER CITIZENS INC?
JOB SUMMARY: This position provides administrative support for the daily operation and management of the In Home and Family Support Services department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General office duties, to include: keyboarding, filing, copying, mailing, answering department phone calls, taking messages and receiving visitors to the office.
- Maintenance of In Home and Family Support Services client files, to include: enrollment, correspondence, and updating action taken notes.
- Assist Program Director with required service unit reporting, to include: preparation and disposition of reporting forms, collection of reporting information and data entry.
- Maintins the S.M.I.L.E list (Seniors Maintaining Independent Living Environments)
- Ensures departmental supplies are on hand as needed.
- Assist with Caregiver Support Meetings as needed. Included but not limited to food, phone calls and sending of invites.
- Assist with In Home and Family Support Services staff meetings.
- Interacts with agency personnel to facilitate positive, productive working relationships.
- Maintains highest degree of confidentiality in all aspects of client relations and Agency operations.
- Insurance billing for Personal Care Services.
- Updates Uniform Assessment Instrument’s (UAI) as needed.
- Assist with the hiring and orientation of new staff.
- Assist with updating staff files.
- Assist with phone coverage for agency as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
