As a Cashier/Customer Service Associate at Mountain Hardware and Sports, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently processing transactions at the cash register. In this role, you will both help on our sales floor, directing and helping customers find products, to running the cash register. Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers, offer assistance in locating products, and provide answers to questions.
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations, suggest complementary items, and process transactions accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist with stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, as well as maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Continuously update product knowledge and stay informed about promotions and industry trends to better assist customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and monitor for theft or suspicious behavior.
- Adhere to company standards, including safety protocols, break times, and operational procedures.
- Utilize provided technology and equipment effectively, and demonstrate physical abilities such as lifting up to 56 lbs, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have ability to lift up to 35lbs
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use a ladder
Experience
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Cashiering: 1 year (preferred)
