The Appliance Sales Advisor is responsible for enhancing the experience of guests and driving profitable sales of home appliances by providing proactive consultative sales assistance and support to customers, achieving department standards and goals, and performing sales-support activities to maintain a clean, orderly and well-merchandised sales floor for conducting sales activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Takes ownership of enhancing the customer experience, assisting customers by utilizing approved consultative selling practices and guidelines to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Completes required training in the expected timeframe and participates in ongoing learning opportunities.
- Maintains current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits and availability, and, if applicable, delivery, installation and/or service options to respond to customer needs.
- Processes customer transactions in the ERP System (NetSuite), including sales, returns, and exchanges in accordance with authorized procedures.
- Fully optimizes credit, warranty, and gift card opportunities.
- Meet or exceed advisor contribution/department productivity standards.
- Partners with other sales advisors, sales support associates, and operations support to provide superior customer service (i.e., locate merchandise, assist customers, answer phones, process payment for sales orders).
- Adhere to merchandise protection standards.
- Uses internet navigation to access and print information/reports and respond to customer inquiries.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent certification.
- Previous sales experience is required.
- Previous experience in the home appliance market is preferred.
- 2-5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for moderate periods.
- Occasional sedentary work that involves sitting/standing.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions
Varied shifts, which may include evenings and weekends.
