Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assitant/Receptionist to join our clinic team. We have a pediatric clinic in Missoula and are opening a satellite clinic in Hamilton. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our Hamilton clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional patient service. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, taking vital signs and medical history, giving immunizations, and supporting the overall patient care experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations for both acute and wellness visits.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
- Assist with medication administration as required, ensuring compliance with protocols.
- Collaborate with clinic providers to facilitate effective patient care in the clinic.
- Address patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing in a professional manner.
- Ensure that clinic systems are utilized effectively for optimal workflow.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role or similar position is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical clinic environment, medication administration protocols, and immunization administration protocols is a plus.
- Ability to obtain vital signs and collect patient medical history
- Knowledge of coding systems related to healthcare billing is a plus.
- Strong background in patient service with an emphasis on delivering high-quality patient care.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting is desirable.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
