Key Responsibilities
- Review patient billing and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance, and payment options.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and work with patients to establish payment plans or resolve billing issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations at all times.
- Work closely with patients to resolve discrepancies and ensure prompt payment.
- Answered incoming calls regarding billing questions, payment plans, and account status.
- Provide clear and accurate explanations of charges, claims, and payment policies
- Assist patients in understanding their billing statements, insurance coverage, and payment responsibilities
- Address patient concerns or disputes with billing and escalate to management when needed.
- Maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor when discussing sensitive billing issues with patients
- Ensure all patient interactions are documented accurately in the billing system, including follow-up actions
- Making outbound calls to patients with outstanding balances to discuss overdue payments and resolve any issues related to their accounts.

Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing, collections, or patient account management but not required can train
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with patients
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish Speaking is preferred but not required
