What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground mining position at Mountain Laurel/Mingo Logan?
JOB SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Be an active participant in the company's Behavior Based Safety Process.
- This person is an experienced and proven roof bolter or continuous miner operator who is self-motivated, skilled and dependable.
- Additionally, this person may be required to perform non-equipment operator tasks and duties such as shoveling, building / maintaining ventilation controls, assisting in various maintenance and repair duties on mine equipment and other manual related tasks and duties as needed.
- The employee must be able to follow specific instructions while maintaining acceptable established standards of work performance and conduct, show the necessary and consistent energy, as well as acceptable mental and physical dexterity, for the satisfactory completion of the essential duties as summarized and defined.
- The employee must exhibit acceptable interpersonal skills and the continuous ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Preferred Education & Experience :
- Most possess a West Virginia Underground Coal Miner Certification
- At a minimum, must be proficient in operating an underground roof bolter, continuous miner, or both.
- Experience in rib bolting and pillaring is a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
POSITION WILL REPORT TO : Mine Shift Supervisor
Employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a Background Check and Drug Screening.
