The Corporate Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Is Responsible For
- Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing strategy: Align nursing areas with the overall organizational strategy, ensuring alignment with purpose and key objectives.
- Lead and manage corporate teams: Oversee a team of nursing and non-nursing leaders in the corporate environment and across all facilities and departments, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Ensure high-quality patient care: Advocate for evidence-based practices, establish quality standards, and monitor key performance indicators.
- Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness: Implement innovative initiatives to optimize nursing workflows, resource allocation, and cost management.
- Champion professional development: Foster a culture of lifelong learning, providing opportunities for continuous education and career advancement for nurses.
- Navigate the regulatory landscape: Stay abreast of all relevant regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across the organization.
- Build strong relationships: Collaborate effectively with physicians, administrators, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Represent the nursing profession: Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and Board of Directors, advocating for the needs and perspectives of nurses and other providers.
- Master's degree in Nursing or other area related to healthcare leadership (MBA, MPH, MHS) required
- Doctorate degree in Nursing preferred
- Must be a registered nurse (RN) with current licensure
- Must be certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a complex healthcare setting, with at least 5 years at the senior executive level; multi-campus CNO experience preferred.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic initiatives
