Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, responsible for assembling and maintaining patients’ health information in medical records and charts.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Assemble patients’ health information in chart.
- Ensure all forms are accurately completed, properly identified, and signed.
- Ensure all necessary patient information is in the computer and up to date.
- Scan pertinent information into patient’s EMR.
- Obtain and handle medical record document requests from outside parties, which may include subpoenas, FMLA forms, etc. for response and regulation compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required Minimum Knowledge
- 1 year related experience in a healthcare environment required.
PREFERRED Qualifications
- Completion of medical record technology or medical terminology course preferred.
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
- Ability to perform redundant tasks with minimal error rate.
- Ability to use good judgment in the course of contact with physicians, patients, staff, and outside sources.
Pay Range
$15.00 - $20.33 /hour
Salary : $15 - $20
