Job Overview
Mountain Manor Treatment Center is looking for a substance use disorder counselor to add to our team. This employee will be responsible for all substance use disorder counseling duties, such as providing counseling services, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation. They will also complete intake and discharge procedures. Occasional weekend work is also required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assess new clients and gather information to diagnose for substance use disorders.
· Facilitate and document group therapy sessions.
· Facilitate and document individual sessions.
· Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner and complete clinical documentation requirements specified by the program.
Requirements for Addictions Counselor
· Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders in line with DSM V and ASAM PPC-II, therapeutic intervention techniques, and substance abuse treatment modalities.
· Possess clinical skill set to recognize signs of patient impairment.
· Possess clinical skill set to accurately document information and complete written reports, statistics, and clinical records in a timely fashion
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (List of minimum required educational degrees, licenses, registrations.)
· Candidates must possess current certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LCADC, LPC) from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Candidates with trainee status and significant experience in the areas listed above will be considered. Licensed counselors and social workers with significant addiction experience will be considered.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
