Job Description:
Position Responsibilities:- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for Preferred Popcorn’s tractors, grain handling equipment, and vehicles.
- Repair or oversee the repair of Preferred Popcorn equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant processing equipment as required
- Fabricate structures and equipment to be safe and functional
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace
- Track maintenance spending
- Serve as a Grain Handler as needed
- Follow all policies and procedures on safety, cleanliness, and BRC/FDA
- Report all issues with food safety, quality, and occupational safety to Outside Supervisor, QA Manager, or Safety Officer
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Ability to operate PIT(powered industrial trucks)
- Maintain a valid CDL
- Understanding of food safety and quality guidelines
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds throughout an 8 hour shift
- Ability to lift above shoulder level
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
- Ability to climb grain bins
- Ability to tolerate fluctuating seasonal temperature conditions
- Able to handle multiple tasks
- Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent time management skills, be able to prioritize work, and problem solve
- Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours a day with adequate breaks
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work well with others
