Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and assist in providing engaging and fulfilling activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive environment through various recreational programs.
Duties:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for senior residents
- Engage residents in memory care and assisted living in meaningful activities
- Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Offer aging issues counseling and emotional support to residents
- Manage schedules and ensure timely participation in planned activities
- Collaborate with the care team to enhance the overall well-being of residents
- Utilize recreational therapy techniques to promote physical and mental wellness
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in memory care, caregiving, or senior care is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff
