What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Mountain Mike's Pizza?
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using a forklift or pallet jack
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
Skills:
- Experience driving commercial vehicles, including vans and refrigerated trailers
- Proficient in operating a forklift and pallet jack for loading and unloading goods
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable driving vehicles with manual transmission
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery schedules and routes
