Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans in a collaborative environment. This position requires a strong understanding of various medical practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, particularly within a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care, including case management and follow-up.
  • Perform sterile processing and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Administer tube feeding and monitor patients for any complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care in hospital medicine settings.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
  • Utilize psychopharmacology knowledge to manage psychiatric conditions as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with an active Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, case management, and laboratory procedures.
  • Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and hospital protocols.
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology practices is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
