Your Role
As a personal banker at Mountain Pacific Bank you will deliver exceptional customer experience, build relationships, and help consumer and small business customers succeed financially. You will engage customers in conversation and ask questions to understand what's most important to them to allow you to provide product, service and digital options that align with their needs and help make banking easier for them.
Essential Responsibilities
- Building relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs
- Developing and maintaining deep knowledge of bank products and services and connecting those to customer needs
- Building relationships with branch team members and partners, allowing you to work together to best serve customers
- Strategically utilizing advertising leads, personal contacts, referrals from the Bank and branch customer base to build a book of business through deposit generation
- Opening new accounts, completing service requests, Certificate of Deposits, and submitting credit applications
- Opening and managing the branches CDARs program
- Processing complex transactions including changing account ownership, living trusts, guardianship accounts, and estate assignments
- Performing Business Development activities, striving to achieve branch goals
- Participating in branch events/sponsorships and involvement with groups and organizations within the community
- Informing customers of self-service digital options and demonstrating them to customers
- Conducting care calls with existing consumer and business clients to ensure customer satisfaction
- Leading branch sales campaigns
- Helping to resolve customer concerns and escalating issues as needed
- Serving as a risk leader and ensuring compliance with operational, security, and audit procedures, policies, and regulations
- Partnering with leadership to mentor and coach CSR staff to enhance their sales skills
Other Job Responsibilities
- Offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate to help customers succeed financially
- Set an example for the CSR staff in customer service and customer advocacy
- Perform teller duties as required
- Support branch lobby management

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience interacting with people, banking, and sales, demonstrated through work or education
- Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email
- Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
- Experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a multi-line telephone, copy machine, scanner, fax, computer printer, and cash counter. The employee needs to frequently communicate with internal and external contacts and move about inside the branch to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Occasionally transports money and coin weighing 25-50 lbs. and files/boxes weighing 5-10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to see color. Work Environment
- Climate controlled business office environment.
- Ability to work in artificial light for extended periods of time.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions and frequent interruptions during the day.
- This is a full-time, in-person position: Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week.
- Work requires regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule with willingness to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule and/or extended hours, as needed.
Travel Required
- Minimal (5%-10%) local, non-overnight travel
