What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician-Physical Therapy-Baseline position at MOUNTAIN PARK HEALTH CENTER?
This position is responsible for providing excellent patient care and experience in accordance with Mountain Park Health Center’s guiding principles, HIPAA, and any other applicable federal & state laws. The Physical Therapy Technician (PTT) position requires a basic level of knowledge regarding the functions necessary to becoming a PTT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs patient intake tasks. Interviews patient to obtain reason for visit, history, and chief complaints; performs vital signs and other patient care needs, documents the same to complete the patient intake process.
- Assists in performing administrative tasks.
- Assists patients with exercises during physical therapy sessions.
- Performs prescribed treatment such as application of modalities as directed
- Reports and records patient’s exercise and progress for the physical therapist.
- Liaises between patients, physical therapist, physical therapy assistants, and other departments.
- Maintains proper levels of supplies in treatment areas.
- Maintains therapy equipment before and after each session.
- Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides patients’ discharge instructions.
- Assists with coordinating the continuity of patient care with internal health departments.
- Identifies and reports any safety hazard, or potential hazard, by directly notifying supervisory staff immediately of concerns.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATION:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CPR Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous PTT clinical experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English or Somali/English)
