Job Title: Lifeguard – Campground
Job Description: We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of our campground guests at the pool or designated swimming areas. The ideal candidate will be trained in water safety and emergency response, with a strong focus on providing a safe and enjoyable environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and supervising swimmers to ensure safety at all times
- Enforcing pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment
- Responding quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid situations
- Conducting routine safety checks of the swimming area, including water quality and pool equipment
- Providing first aid and CPR as needed, and maintaining up-to-date certification
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the swimming area, including cleaning and securing equipment
- Engaging with guests to provide information on pool rules, water safety, and camp activities
- Reporting safety concerns or maintenance issues to management promptly
- Ensuring the pool area is clean and well-maintained, including removing debris and ensuring proper sanitation
Qualifications:
- Current lifeguard certification (CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety)
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
- Ability to stay alert and respond quickly in emergency situations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
