Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. The Network Engineer is responsible for planning, implementation, administration and maintenance of required network. The Network Engineer will be required to install, operate, and maintain an information system using DoD STIGs. Among these responsibilities the engineer will ensure the integrity and security of the enterprise data network and maintain required network servers. Responsibilities for the position will also include, but not limited to, planning, administering and maintaining all enterprise network data electronics, such as switches and routers. The Network Engineer must have the skill set to secure and maintain enterprise network communication closets/server room and identify known security vulnerabilities on the network servers/systems Have basic understanding of the SCADA system and Programable Logic Controller (PLC) system. Assist with U.S. Army policy requirements to maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO). Other duties may be assigned as needed in the future by management.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Provides classified and unclassified network systems support
- Provide network and technical support
- Disconnect, move and connect equipment to networks
- Install, configure, and maintain systems
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network anomalies
- Server Management
- Power balance equipment within racks
- Basic understanding of: Network fundamentals (Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing)
- Create and update required drawings
- Troubleshoot network issues
- Continuous self-training for evolving technologies and products
- Provide OJT to other team members
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform required maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently
- Support and/or lead Systems training for team members
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

- Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results.
- On call for emergency outages or issues
- Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables.

Comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local environmental regulations including requirements contained in the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 1973, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) of 1972, the Environmental Review Guide for Operations (ERGO), the Erosion and Sedimentation Act of 1975, and the and most recent Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control in Georgia published by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. The Contractor, subcontractors, and their employees shall be knowledgeable of all regulations relative to their job and duties.
Education and/or Experience
- BA in Associated Field preferred but not required, High School or Equivalent required
- Requires 7 years of experience in similar job duties
- Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of job-related tools and applications as well as strong detail to data.
- Experience with current TEMPEST regulations and policies required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Georgia Power Plant McIntosh Access Card
- US DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must have and be willing to maintain a CompTIA SEC or Network Certification.
- Desired candidate to hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Must possess or obtain within first 90 days, OSHA 10-hour certification.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Safety:
- Complete required training prior to performing any work requiring such training as reference in EM 385-1-1 or OSHA
- Participate in Government provided training such as: CPR training, First-Aid, Blood
- Borne Pathogens, AED (Contractor pays for cost of course), Confined Space Training, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) Training, Fall Prevention, Chain Saw Safety Training, Haz-Mat Training, Boat Operator Training, and other training that relates to work required
- Ensuring adherence to all company safety rules
- Weekly safety meetings are required
