Every employee receives a membership to all Mountain Recreation facilities.
Mountain Recreation is currently looking for Site Supervisors to help run and coordinate Adult Sports Leagues. This position will float across the District with a primary focus on adult sports in Eagle.
General Statement of Duties: Facilitate the operation of sports programs with some independence. Maintain supervision and security over the sports facility. Promote an environment consistent with program philosophies and goals.
Examples of Duties:
- Organizes and facilitates sport programs which may include the following: scorekeeping, bookkeeping, pace of play, and running of the game clock.
- Supervises patrons in sport programs and ensure safe use of facilities. Maintains security of facility. Reports vandalism and theft.
- Maintains all required records and forms.
- Responds to accidents or incidents according to procedures. Notifies supervisor and appropriate law enforcement or emergency services if necessary. Maintains all related records.
- Sets up and breaks down of equipment and facilities.
- Cleans facility after each use.
- Operates small tools and electronic equipment.
- Communicates with players, volunteers, coaches and spectators regarding game information and behavior as needed.
- Provides leadership and direction to Facility Aide staff and volunteers.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of: recreation facilities and sports equipment; rules and protocols of individual and team sports; safety guidelines related to assignment.
Ability and skill to: demonstrate initiative; exercise some independent decision making; provide leadership from within team; effectively communicate with players, coaches, spectators and school staff; interact with a variety of patrons/participants; establish and maintain positive, respectful and cooperative relationships with all contacts.
Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older; AND
2. One year previous work related experience with recreation facility supervision and organized sports and game management; OR
3. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training.
