Job Overview
As a Wound Care and Skin Health Team Lead at Mountain Ridge Center, you will be responsible for leading and integrating a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program in collaboration with nursing center management. You will also support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and integrate a comprehensive Skin Health and Wound management program
- Collaborate with nursing center management to achieve program goals
- Support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products
- Oversee durable medical equipment related to the prevention and management of wounds
Requirements
- RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval)
- Completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or commitment to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire
- Knowledge and experience with clinical charting, incident reporting, and investigation response
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team
- Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, PowerPoint skills
