What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Practice Provider / Nurse Practitioner position at Mountain Sleep Diagnostics?
Your main responsibilities will consist of:
- Seeing patients who have or are suspected of having sleep related disorders.
- You will prescribe studies, treatment, and therapy options for patients when prudent.
- You will follow up and follow through with each patient on their sleep health and care.
- You will manage the treatment and therapy of your outpatient population.
Education:
Minimum –
- If Nurse Practitioner:
- Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
- If Physician Assistant:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
Work Experience:
Preferred - Three years of relevant clinical experience in Sleep Medicine or primary care, pulmonary, cardiology.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum –
- If Nurse Practitioner:
Active RN and APNP license in State of Colorado AND active board certification as a NP in Family Medicine.
- If Physician Assistant:
Active PA license in State of Colorado AND active PA board certification.
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
Active DEA license prior to hire. CPR certification.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, compassionate, caring demeanor.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks.
Multiple Office Location Requirement:
You will be servicing our patient population from as far north as Longmont, the greater Denver Metro area, and as far south as Colorado Springs. We are currently seeing patients strictly via telehealth appointments, however this may change based on patient needs and the status of changing medical laws. In person visits would take place at one or two of our Sleep Labs based on patient needs and your location. You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
