Trust and Estates Attorney - Denver

Mountain States Energy Attorneys & Advisors, PLLC d/b/a Tolbert Law Office, PLLC (the “Firm”) is hiring a senior associate attorney with prior trust and estates experience.

Responsibilities:

· Meet with clients to understand their estate planning needs, document with detailed notes the results of the meeting, strategize and make recommendations and prepare comprehensive, customized Estate Plans;

· Work collaboratively as part of a team;

· Work with third-party professionals such as Financial Planners, CPAs, and Insurance Agents;

· Manage all aspects of a client's matter from engagement to close; and

· Supervise the work of junior legal team members (Paralegal and/or Legal Assistants) assigned to assist with production and delivery.

Qualifications:

· Colorado Bar License;

· 3 years experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration;

· Portable book of business or a strong desire to build and manage your own clients;

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;

· Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;

· Strong research and writing skills;

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, experience with Wealth Counsel a plus;

· Excellent organizational skills;

· Dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics;

· Experience managing a full caseload;

· Strong desire to learn oil and gas law;

· Good reputation in the legal community; and

· Strong desire to teach and mentor other professionals.

Ideal candidates will have an existing referral base/network and experience advising clients on estate and probate matters, drafting wills & trusts and handling administration proceedings. This is an opportunity for those looking to further expand their practice. Compensation is based on experience.
