Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those with developmental disabilities or memory care requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living environments is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding.
- Knowledge of first aid practices to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Familiarity with social work principles to support clients' emotional needs.
- Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks such as checking vital signs.
- Experience in senior care or memory care settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
