What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Foreman position at Mountain Top Contracting?
We are seeking a Foreman with experience in plumbing, light wiring, skid loader and mini excavator experience, and various other areas of construction, masonry, and hardscape experience. We install Swimming Pools, Spas, Water & Fire Features, as well as Masonry and Hardscape jobs. We are looking for foreman that have general construction knowledge in certain areas and attention to detail and looking for a leadership role that are looking for a career and want to grow.
Responsibilities
- Able to read plans and figure out certain material quantities for tasks throughout the job.
- Able to plan out the job for you and anyone working under you.
- Able to direct other employees, plan their day, teach them things they do not know how to do, and oversee the tasks they are working on.
- Understands and able to get jobs and tasks done on time to keep things on schedule.
- Logs pictures and job information throughout the day.
- Attention to detail on tasks you are preforming, as well as looking over other employees or subs at a high level of detail to make sure things are being done correctly and neatly.
Experience: Please let us know which areas you do and do not have experience in.
- Plumbing: Very experienced in plumbing and learning to map things out the more experience you get.
- Wiring: Light wiring for equipment, panels, lights, outlets, etc.
- Tech: Able to program systems, problem solve issues when they occur, do warranty work on equipment and able to run tests and diagnose what the problem is.
- Operator: Has a lot of mini excavator and skid loader experience to be able to accurately dig to spec. Use laser level and set grades. If you do not have experience in this area but still fill other positions, please let us know.
- Masonry-Tile: Coping installation, tile installation, pointing, veneer, CMU walls, and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Hardscape: Pavers, retaining walls, outdoor lighting, steppers, and other hardscaping installation items.
Experience in tasks beyond installation: If you have other areas you have experience in that are also able to take on more duties being just installation, please let us know.
- Planning and scheduling: If you have past experience in planning and scheduling multiple jobs, crews, subcontractors and larger jobs. If you have used any softwares for scheduling and have a lot of knowledge in certain ones, please let us know.
- Managing: If you have done any type of supervising or managing at other companies, please let us know in detail what areas you have experience in. Also what softwares you have worked with and know how to use.
- Mechanical: If you have any experience in working on trucks, equipment, tools, or maintenance on them, please let us know if detail what all areas you are able to preform.
- Problem Solving: A lot of the jobs we do are unique, so being able to problem solve if an issue arrises and come up with a plan. Also, being able to figure out on your own how to build or modify something to work in certain scenarios in all aspects of construction.

- Must have valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Able to drive truck and trailer
- Experience in areas you are applying for, and job references if needed to verify you are qualified.
- Physically able to do the work.

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
