If you're someone who has experience in this field, and specifically, can lead and manage a major defense ground vehicle system development program, ensuring successful execution across technical, financial, and programmatic aspects this is the job for you. Responsible for overall program performance including cost, schedule, technical delivery, and customer satisfaction, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to deliver an integrated system solution while maintaining program profitability and meeting all contractual obligations.

A TYPICAL DAY :
Lead overall program execution, ensuring delivery of all contractual requirementsDevelop and maintain program master schedule, risk management plan, and budgetMonitor and control program costs, schedule, and technical performanceEnsure compliance with all Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)Establish and maintain program management processes and controlsLead program reviews and status meetings with customer and internal stakeholdersDirect and manage cross-functional team including mechanical, electrical, and software engineersWork closely with Chief Engineer to ensure technical requirements are metOversee program staff including engineers and administrative supportCoordinate with functional managers for resource allocationFoster collaborative working environment between technical and program teamsREQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field10 years of experience in defense program managementDemonstrated experience managing complex technical programsStrong understanding of DoD acquisition processes and requirementsExperience with earned value management systems (EVMS)Knowledge of defense contracting, FAR / DFAR regulationsAbility to hold secret security clearanceUnderstanding of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)ADDITIONAL SUCCESS FACTORS

Customer Relations
Serve as primary customer interface for programmatic mattersPresent program status to customer and executive managementManage customer expectations and ensure satisfactionLead customer program reviews and technical interchange meetingsMaintain strong working relationship with government program officeFinancial Management
Responsible for program P&L and financial performanceManage program budget and cash flowTrack and report earned value metricsIdentify and implement cost control measuresEnsure proper billing and revenue recognitionTechnical Integration
