What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Help position at Mountain Town Station?
We are looking for dishwashers and line cooks able to work in a fast-paced kitchen. Basic knowledge of food handling procedures and kitchen equipment - Broilers, Fryers, ovens, and flat-top grills preferred. Brickfire oven experience a plus. Must be available weekend nights but other shifts are available. We can offer part-time or full-time.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prep for food service
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Work multiple stations on weekday shifts
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
