What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Mountain Valley Contracting?
Mountain Valley Contracting, Inc. is a general contractor providing civil, heavy highway, utility construction and asphalt rotomilling in Western Colorado since 1996. We pride ourselves in being on the cutting edge technologically being the only company in our region with machinery equipped with 3D machine controls and UTS. We have a full time licensed PE on staff and have considerable trenchless utility installation experience.
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of heavy construction equipment including Trackhoes, Backhoes, Dozers, Rollers, Graders, Asphalt Rotomill, and Skidsteers.
Candidates for this position must possess the following:
5 years heavy construction equipment experience
Operate equipment safely and efficiently
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License
Must pass a Drug Test
This is a physically demanding position. Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. Employee must occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
