Starting Pay: $17 to $19 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Description:
Mountain Valley ELC , and We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Infant Room Teacher to join our team. As an Infant Room Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and early childhood education to infants under your supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants.
- Attend to infants' basic needs, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Implement developmentally appropriate activities to promote cognitive, social, and physical growth.
- Observe and document each child's progress, behavior, and milestones.
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the individual needs of each child are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Adhere to all daycare policies and procedures, as well as state licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a childcare facility with infants is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for infants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, understanding, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or equivalent (Child Development Associate (CDA) or relevant degree preferred).
