Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Excavation Foreman to oversee construction projects and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in schematics, pipeline systems, and various construction estimating software. As a Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled workers, coordinate project activities, and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Read and interpret plans and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage a crew of 4-6 operators and laborers.
- Work on both pipe and grade crews.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours worked.
Skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints related to construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline systems and their installation processes.
- Familiarity with construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Prolog, and HeavyBid.
- Excellent budgeting skills to manage project costs effectively.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations to ensure workplace safety.
- Proven experience in managing a construction site and leading a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
