Job Overview :
Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Apprentice to join our healthcare team. This position is designed for LPN and RN students who are currently in the clinical rotation phase of their nursing education. As a Nurse Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience while practicing your nursing skills in a supportive, real-world clinical environment.
The Nurse Apprentice role offers flexibility in scheduling, making it an ideal opportunity for students to fulfill required apprenticeship hours for graduation. You will work closely with experienced nursing staff to support patient care and develop essential nursing skills, all while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, administering medications (if permitted), and assisting with activities of daily living
- Support patient mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures
- Document patient information accurately and promptly in medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Adhere to facility protocols, policies, and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to further develop clinical skills
- Follow infection control guidelines and ensure patient safety at all times
