Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Courier to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Courier / Hospital Services Representative position is responsible for the safe and well documented transport of various articles of hospital business (i.e. labs, images, specimens, confidential documents). The Courier / Hospital Services Representative must complete all tasks in a manner which does not violate HIPAA regulations. Representatives will conduct all business in a manner that will spread good will through the hospital and throughout the community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The safe and efficient transportation of all required;
- Lab work
- Images
- Medical records
- Legal documentation
- Pharmaceuticals
- Par stock
- Daily deposits
- Pick up and sorting of mail
- Any other items as designated by supervisor or manager.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle. Notify supervisor or manager immediately of any vehicle malfunctions or major repairs needed.
- Will collect deposits daily and deposit within a timely manner.
- Builds teamwork by being a good team player. Loyal to leaders and supports their decisions.
- Organizes and completes work in a timely and professional manner. Demonstrates compliance to all Hospital policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrates positive attitude; makes, and cheerfully spends time to consistently exceed patient/physician expectations; shows humility for role played in lives of others; respects coworkers and appreciates similarities and difference of each coworker; demonstrates true caring.
- Must be flexible and able to handle a stressful environment (at times) with high demand on time and communicative skills.
- Will follow hospital dress code and present professional image.
- Must maintain hospital mandatory education and training.
- The employee is required to comply with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent, current unencumbered driver’s license, clean driving record. Current BLS certification including training on defibrillators and renewal as required. Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred.
Experience: One year experience in customer service preferred
Equipment/Technology: Basic knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance. The operation of a standard transmission is a plus.
Language/Communication Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Personal Presentation: Dress must be pressed and professional and personal hygiene must be maintained.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math; ability to make change.
Mental Capabilities: Must have the ability to prioritize multiple and competing customer and staff needs.
Interpersonal: Must be able to communicate and work well with diverse spectrum of co-workers and customers.
Performance: Must be able to work efficiently and comply with daily demands.
