Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Lab Assistant Histology 4 to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY : Obtain valid histology orders, process orders, and data entry. Process incoming reference lab samples ensuring proper patient identification and labeling. Follow applicable hospital policies and procedures for transporting / delivering of samples to laboratory. Provide excellent customer service on the phone and in person to all patients, providers, nurses and other medical staff. Work well under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Answers incoming calls to the laboratory in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain effective working relationships between nursing, clerical, medical and allied health staff.

Qualifications
Education / Certification : High School Diploma or higher. Hold a current BLS Certification. Hold a valid driver's license.
Experience : 2-5 years of laboratory experience required.
Equipment / Technology : : Experience with computers and office equipment, required.
Language / Communication : The ability to read and communicate (oral and written) effectively in English. Bilingual is a plus. Must be able to understand medical terminology.
Mental Capabilities : Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments. Must be organized, multi-tasker, and a critical thinker.
