Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a counselor who has experience working with patients suffering from chronic pain and understands the complex relationship between mental health and physical well-being. As a part of our collaborative care model, you will work closely with our PMHNP and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality therapeutic services to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to patients dealing with chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring mental health issues.
- Collaborate with the PMHNP and other medical professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
- Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or other relevant modalities.
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation of patient progress.
- Help patients develop coping skills and strategies for managing the psychological aspects of chronic pain.
- Educate patients on the mental health and emotional impact of chronic pain, including strategies for mindfulness, relaxation, and stress reduction.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
-Assist with integrative wraparound therapy for Ketamine treatment recipients.
Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Experience in working with individuals managing chronic pain or similar conditions preferred.
- Strong understanding of the intersection between mental health and physical health.
- Proficient in providing evidence-based therapies, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, or other therapeutic models.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to manage a case load effectively and independently.
