Position Summary:
Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of Practice Manager and Attending Physician. Responsible for assisting clinic Doctors as needed in the clinical setting while adhering to all pain management policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Rooms all patients in pre and post-op area
- Prepares charts for clinical patients receiving injections/procedures
- Performs intake of all required patient vitals, consent questions, and clinical information with proper documentation
- Obtains BG levels, start IVs, pushes fluids, draws blood and monitors response to injections and procedures received
- Ensures patients understanding on post procedure information
- Enters all required information into the system according to pain management protocol
- Completes checklists and related paperwork as required for blood thinners, antibiotics and procedures
- Cleans and stocks assigned procedure area.
- Responsible for reviewing and adhering to company practices and clinical policies and procedures
- Additional duties as requested according to position scope of practice
- Make appointment reminder calls to patients for the following workday
Other Duties:
- Complete given checklist of tasks to prepare for the following workday
- Regularly check voicemails throughout the day and return calls as needed
- Answers FAQs for patients regarding injections/procedures
- Communication to APPs and medical staff regarding clinical questions
- Complete training on rooming new patients in the event one is scheduled on a Doctor’s schedule
Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Diploma of completion from accredited/approved Medical Assistant program; or completion of an unapproved medical assistant training program and passage of the medical assistant examination administered by either the American Association of Medical Assistants or the American Medical Technologists
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/First Aid Certification
- Completion of ACLS Certification upon hire
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Work Location: In person
Salary : $21 - $23
