Laundry Attendant

Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position involves operating laundry equipment, ensuring that all items are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet our high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to providing exceptional service in a hotel or similar environment.

Duties

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to established procedures.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments as per the hotel's specifications.
• Ensure proper handling of delicate fabrics and garments requiring dry cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report when reordering is necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling chemicals.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail for effective cleaning and quality assurance.
• Experience in laundry or similar setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Ability to operate various types of laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
